Thank the City Council
On October 28 the City Council voted unanimously to adopt the urgency ordinance. A short thank-you takes two minutes, goes into the official record, and reminds the Council that people are watching as the permanent ordinance is written. You don’t have to live in a park.
Email the City Clerk, with a copy to the whole Council

2. Join GSMOL
GSMOL (the Golden State Manufactured-Home Owners League) is the statewide organization for manufactured home owners. Our membership numbers are part of what gives this coalition standing — with the City, and with the other Encinitas parks we're trying to bring in. It takes a few minutes.
3. For park residents: help shape the permanent ordinance
On October 28 the City Council voted 5–0 to adopt the urgency ordinance. Next comes the permanent fairness ordinance: City staff plans several workshops, with residents and with park owners, and expects a draft around February 2027. Park owners will be in those rooms. Homeowners from every park need to be there too. Here’s how to help:

Sample message to your councilmember
“My name is [your name], and I live at [your park name] manufactured home park in Encinitas. Thank you for voting on October 28 to adopt the urgency ordinance. Residents in Encinitas’s manufactured home parks own our homes and pay a space fee for the land under them, and we can’t simply move when that fee goes up. I hope you will support a strong permanent fairness ordinance that restores balance for good. Thank you.”
